In this article, I present you with 11 tips and tricks you can do after getting your first android phone.  1. Restrict background data
Lots of apps on your device consumes large amount of data while running in the background. These apps not only use your internet data but they also drain your battery and make your device run slow. It is safe to restrict background data.
For restricting background data, go to Settings >> Data Usage then to options menu and select Restrict Background Data option.

2. Enable Power Saving Mode
Different android phones have different ‘power saving modes’ which reduces the screen brightness and reduces CPU usage.  When a phone reaches a defined battery level, basic power saving mode is activated. You can also turn this whenever you want.
To do this, go to Settings >> Battery >> Activate Power Saving Mode.

3. Activate Developer Options
Developer Mode, by default, is hidden by Google. You manually have to enable this. It can be used to change animation speed, enable USB debugging, enable show touches, etc.
To do this, go to Settings >> About Phone >> find ‘Build Number’ >> and tap 7 times on build number (you will see a message) >> go back to Settings >> you will find Developer Mode.

4. Search for System Updates
If you are using Android stock ROM, then you can look for latest updates to your system.

5. Manage Animations
If u have enabled Developer Mode (if not look number 3), then you can manage your animations.
To do this, go to Settings >> Developer Options >> Windows Animation Scale, Transition Animation Scale and Animation Duration Scale. From this, you can manage animations.

6. Clear Default Apps
Some apps have their default properties like chrome for browsing, facebook, twitter, etc. you can change this default setting too.
For this, go to Settings >> Apps >> Select the app you want to clear defaults and choose clear defaults.

 7.  Enable Encryption
It’s important to protect your data. You can manually enable encryption in your phone.
To do this, go to Settings >> Security >> Encrypt phone.

8. Backup Data
It is important to backup your data so that you can use them whenever you want to.
To do this, go to Settings >> Accounts >> Google and select Sync All

9. Manage Notifications
Getting notifications from rarely used apps is annoying and battery consuming too. You can disable all such notifications.
To do this, go to settings >> Apps >> select the app you want >> App Info >> Notifications >> Off

10. Disable Auto correction
